Everything you need to import a used car from Japan to Georgia — the age rule, shipping options, taxes and the vehicles currently available at a fixed One Price. Vehicles under 6 years old qualify — model year 2020 or newer for 2026.

Georgia Import Regulations

Shipping & Logistics

Steering: LHD is standard. RHD is permitted, BUT subject to a 3x Excise Tax penalty multiplier.
Pre-Export: No pre-export inspection required. Post-import periodic technical inspection required.

Customs & Costs

Import Duty: 5% of CIF value. VAT: 18%.
Excise Tax: Based on engine cc and age (1.50 GEL/cc for 0-6 yrs, 4.50 GEL/cc for >6 yrs).

Age & Import Restrictions (CRITICAL)

Age Restrictions: No hard ban, but steep excise tax disincentivizes vehicles older than 6 years.
