Shipping & Logistics

Steering: Generally left-hand drive (LHD). Right-hand drive (RHD) vehicles require significant modifications (headlights, mirrors).
Import: Usually shipped via Bremerhaven port.

Customs & Costs

Clearance: 10% import duty and 19% VAT based on CIF value.
Registration: TUV inspection is mandatory and extremely strict regarding emissions and safety standards.

Age & Import Restrictions (CRITICAL)

While there is no strict age limit, it is highly recommended to import vehicles older than 30 years to qualify for 'H-plates' (historic), which significantly reduces taxes and bypasses strict modern emission requirements.
