Steering: Left-Hand Drive (LHD) ONLY. Since 2014, there is a strict total ban on the import and registration of Right-Hand Drive (RHD) vehicles.
Import: Import through Koror port. All vehicles undergo strict exhaust emission and condition control.

Customs & Costs

Registration: Registration and license plate issuance at the Environmental and Transport authorities.
Biosecurity: When buying a car for island regions, demand the Original Export Certificate and Disinfection Certificate (JEVIC/EWI). Customs thoroughly checks cars for hidden rust, radiation, and biological contamination (seeds, insects).
