Shipping & Logistics

  • Steering: Right-Hand Drive (RHD) ONLY. LHD cars are not allowed for permanent registration.
  • Documents: Original Export Certificate (from Japan/Australia/NZ) is required.
  • Biosecurity: Requires Original Export Certificate and Disinfection Certificate (JEVIC/EWI). Customs checks for rust, radiation, and biological contamination.

Customs & Costs

  • Clearance: Customs clearance at Port Vila or Luganville (Vanuatu Customs and Inland Revenue).
  • Registration: Technical inspection by traffic police is mandatory after paying duties for license plates.
